project submitted !!

we had finished some minor editing of the project before submitting them .. so after the lecture we had today, we went to the lab immediately to do printing .

Come to think of it .. we had stayed backed everyday since monday to rush the project out .. On monday after submitting our law project .. we went to the lab to complete the project by finishing balance day adjustment as well as recurring entries . we were also discussing whether should we include gst fot both the batches .. as some of our friends included and some did not ..

So on tuesday practically we were stil discussing whether should we include gst .. as in one of tutorials we had done for financial accounting .. we had acoounted for gst in these entries.

On wednesday, i was shocked to hear that we had a net profit where most of the other groups suffered a net loss .. so after going through the classification we had found out some errors .. where we classify the accounts wrongly thus causing a net profit .. so after changing and editing .. we had finally suffered a net loss .. and our group was quite happy that we had suffered a loss .. haha .. one thing is also we are drawing nearer to the completition of our project .. :)

It was also the most tiring day as after working so hard for the past few weeks ..we had exported all related stuff to out thumbdrive so as to do the GL entry form and we also stayed up till late night to complete them .. but i woke up at 5am to complete my part of the GL entry and prepared for school at 9am ..

Thursday has came and the project is drawing nearer .. so after our law tutorial .. we did printing of all those which are required as we expected the lab to be very packed on friday itself .. however all the labs are very packed and we only managed to print out a few .. so as usual we stayed back and did all the printing ..

Friday .. PROJECT SUBMISSION !!! so after our CMA lecture .. we rushed down to do the printing of the GL entry form .. and quickly bind the project .. and we are all so relieved .. as this project had finally came to an end after so much hardwork has been put into this project ..

As everyday pepole will stay back and use the lab .. and some of those students who were not from accounting and finance also used the lab .. so it had been very packed to use the lab .. and also the noise level in the lab was also quite loud .. However we managed to complete this project ..

We had really learnt a lot from this project .. where we are suppose to be very careful of what we had entered be it figures or the entry itself .. as it may affect any of the other transcations and also the balance sheet or profit and loss statement .. This is unlike out tutorial where we do not know how to do .. we can just leave it blank and wait for out tutor to explain to us.. for this project we had to do 'experiments' to see if what we had done is correct as we had our backup file with us .. and also with the help of other friends and groups ..

We really do hope that of all the skills that we had learnt .. we will be able to apply all these skills in the upcoming accpac test and also when we step into the working force as we had make mistaked before and will not make as much mistakes during the test and also when we are working ..

CAS project

Finally we have completed this project as we have been redoing twice since the start of our mid sem break .. We have found out quite a few errors at the start as we are still not used to doing accounts using ACCPAC .. Hence we will forget to click this and that causing our figure to be inaccurate ..

After doing for the first time , somehow we got a little use to it .. but there were still some errors here and there .. After correcting them we found out that the project was quite messy with corrections all around. Along the way we seek help from our classmates as we are stuck and are unsure of what to do.

We decided to redo it to make it more neat and tidy. We stayed back almost everyday last week and this week to rush out the project and after posting all the different batches, we were very happy as we had finally completed this project.

Although along the way we had difficulties but we managed to solve almost all of them and had successfully passed all the entries. This is not an easy project . Without the help of my gourp members, I doubt we will be able to complete. Also i believe we have learnt a lot from this project .
